Situated 15 km from Panjim, Calangute Beach is the longest beach in North Goa, stretching from Candolim to Baga. It is lined with lively shacks, flea markets, water sports operators, beachside cafés, and good accomodation options, making it a hub for tourism.
Dudhsagar Falls is one of India’s tallest waterfalls, plunging dramatically from a height of 310 metres in the Western Ghats. Its name translates to “Sea of Milk,” inspired by the white foamy cascade created during peak flow in the monsoon. Located inside the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, about 60 kilometres from Panaji, it is accessible by jeep safaris and trekking routes.
Fort Aguada is a 17th-century Portuguese fort looking out at the confluence of Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea. The crumbling ramparts of the fort stand on the Sinquerim Beach. The highlight of the fort is a lone four-storey lighthouse (which is one-of-its-kind in Asia) and a stunning view of the sunset.
